Despite Tom Brady’s desire to salvage his marriage with Gisele Bündchen, it appears that he may not have made the necessary efforts to reconcile. According to a People Magazine article, the 45-year-old NFL player was open to doing whatever it took to repair his relationship with his wife before their divorce was finalized last Friday.
After 13 years of marriage, sources cited in the report suggest that Brady was motivated to work things out for the sake of their children, not wanting them to experience the divorce of their parents. He was reportedly willing to attend therapy or marriage counseling to make amends. However, it seems that Gisele Bündchen, 42, felt that these efforts came too late to make a meaningful difference.
According to the reports, Bündchen provided numerous opportunities for reconciliation, but Brady did not take advantage of them. It was also noted that while Brady pursued his football career, the supermodel often found herself raising their children alone.
Insiders suggest that the decision to end the marriage was not solely Brady’s idea. When Bündchen repeatedly urged him to spend more time with their children, Brady appeared to have difficulty grasping her concerns, possibly thinking she was addressing someone else.
In a previous interview with Elle magazine in September, Bündchen expressed her reservations about her husband’s violent profession. She had conversations with him about retiring, but acknowledged that ultimately, everyone must make choices that bring them joy.
However, it seems that the situation evolved further after that interview, as Bündchen issued a challenge and presented a request that reportedly played a role in the decision to end their marriage.
