The beautiful city of Paris, with its charming streets, has been the backdrop for countless legends in the realms of art, fashion, cinema, and more. At Dior, Paris holds a special place, as it’s where Monsieur Dior’s serendipitous encounter with his lucky star led to the birth of his eponymous couture house. Therefore, Dior is paying homage to the various streets and locations in Paris that are intertwined with the brand’s history by introducing a unique print in the Dior Spring/Summer 2023 collection – the ‘Plan de Paris‘ print.
The ‘Plan de Paris’ print, inspired by a Christian Dior scarf, maps out the streets of Paris that hold a special significance for the House of Dior. It features iconic locations like Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, where Dior’s lucky star shone, and 30 Avenue Montaigne, the Maison’s iconic address. This print creates a kind of blueprint of the “city of light” on fabric and adorns a range of products, including clothing and accessories.
As the Dior Fall/Winter 2023 collection becomes available in stores, both online and in-store, the brand has released a captivating series of photographs showcasing the ‘Plan de Paris’ print. Captured by Elaine Constantine, these stunning visuals feature the latest products adorned with the new print and invite you to take a virtual stroll through the enchanting streets of Paris. Models wearing a curated selection of knits, coats, dresses, and accessories, all featuring the dreamy cartography, wander the sunny streets of Paris, using Dior as their compass to navigate the city.
