Bottega Veneta, known for its exquisite craftsmanship and iconic intrecciato weave, has recently launched the Accademia Labor et Ingenium, a school dedicated to nurturing artisanal talent. The luxury brand is on the lookout for the next generation of artisans, and they’ve taken it upon themselves to train these future talents.
The academy, Accademia Labor et Ingenium, is located between Bottega Veneta’s atelier in Montebello Vicentino and its new production site in Povolaro Dueville. It offers an immersive training program aimed at fostering “craft and creativity,” the core principles of the brand. Each year, 50 students will have the privilege of learning under the guidance of five renowned artisans who will lead hands-on courses, immersive activities, and independent workshops. Graduates of the program are guaranteed employment at Bottega Veneta, providing a unique opportunity in the competitive world of fashion.
The inaugural training program, in collaboration with the Università Iuav di Venezia, begins on October 16 and spans seven weeks. It incorporates a combination of digital and studio-based learning techniques to ensure that the next generation of artisans is well-equipped to carry forward the legacy of Bottega Veneta, a brand known for its commitment to the art of crafting luxury.
