A COMMUNITY SUPPORTING EVENT FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, #SOTHISISMS

#soTHISisMS, presented by EMD Serono, is hosting a groundbreaking in-person event in Toronto at Snell Hall on October 5th. This unique event aims to reshape the narrative surrounding Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Canada and create a supportive community for those living with this complex disease. EMD Serono, the healthcare business of Merck KGaA, is dedicated to improving the lives of people with difficult-to-treat conditions, including infertility, MS, and cancer.

The #soTHISisMS event will provide a platform for individuals living with MS to share their experiences, connect with others, and be part of a transformative movement. This event represents a shift in how society engages with and perceives MS, similar to influential movements like Bell Let’s Talk.

The event features an inspiring lineup of speakers who have faced MS head-on and emerged as beacons of hope. Ardra Shephard, known as Ms. Tripping on Air, will lead the event. Patrycia Rzechowka, a remarkable MS advocate and documentary creator, will share insights from her personal MS journey. Real stories from individuals navigating life after an MS diagnosis, like Richard & Marc, and advocates like Christina Andaya and Julie Brazeau, will also be featured.

The event offers a full day of networking opportunities, panel talks, a social media workshop, and Q&A sessions with the speakers. It’s an opportunity for attendees to connect, learn, and be inspired by diverse and compelling stories that deserve to be heard.

Even if you cannot attend in person, you can use your voice and platform to share and connect using the hashtag #soTHISisMS. Join the conversation on October 5th and share your unique experiences and perspectives about living with it.

This event is more than just a gathering; it’s a movement. It’s a chance for the MS community to unite, support one another, and highlight their experiences. Together, we can reshape the narrative surrounding in Canada and foster a community of understanding, empathy, and hope. Join #soTHISisMS and be part of this transformative journey.
