Fronting The Neighbourhood, Jesse donned a bald cap with patches of gray hair for his costume, complete with a mustache to match. Billie Eilish, on the other hand, wore a vibrant pink bonnet and bib adorned with teddy bears, her makeup resembling that of a baby doll.
While there were supporters who defended the pop sensation and her rumored beau, it was evident that many people found their costumes disconcerting. A tweet pointed out, “Billie is old enough to understand how peculiar and unsettling this is, by the way.” Another comment read, “I’m not sure if Jesse Rutherford realizes this, but dressing up in a costume that makes light of his grooming allegations is precisely what a groomer would do.”
One individual humorously quipped, “Can’t believe Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford didn’t dress up for Halloween,” while another person described their Halloween attire as “really bizarre and awkward.”
Earlier in the month, the couple sparked rumors of a romantic involvement when they were photographed holding hands during Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles. Just days later, Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford were captured sharing a kiss during a dinner date, further fueling the speculations.
Even if their romantic relationship is relatively recent, it’s apparent they have known each other for some time. A Rutherford fan account recently posted a picture of them together from December 2017 when she was 16 and he was 26.
