The much-anticipated H&M x Rabanne collection is set to arrive in stores just in time for the festive season. Every year, H&M has graced our wardrobes with one or two designer collaborations since 2004. Kicked off by the legendary Karl Lagerfeld, H&M’s esteemed designer collaborations have included Rei Kawakubo, Alber Elbaz, Stella McCartney, and Donatella Versace, to name a few. Now, H&M is adding to its collaborative portfolio with an exciting new partnership with Rabanne.
Earlier this week, H&M and Rabanne threw an unexpected bash at the Silencio Club in Paris to celebrate their upcoming collection. The star-studded guest list included celebrities like Cher, Irina Shayk, Salma Abu Deif, Elle Fanning, Ashley Graham, Amina Muaddi, Tyga, Jared Leto, Alton Mason, and more. The iconic venue saw performances by Swedish singer Robyn, Peggy Gou, and Cher, making the crowd groove to their tunes.
Designed by Julien Dossena, the H&M x Rabanne collection will encompass womenswear, menswear, accessories, and home items. In addition to Rabanne’s trademark shimmering metallics, shoppers can expect to find a range of pieces, including a floor-length tiered chiffon gown adorned with crystals, a crisp poplin button-up with broderie anglaise details and oversized pleated sleeves, a floral jacquard cutout dress, cozy woolen outerwear, jersey knit separates, and an abundance of leopard prints.
“As a designer, I’ve always been interested in exploring hedonism and empowerment. I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way,” said Dossena.
“Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly recognizable pieces of fashion history. We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration,” explained Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design Womenswear and Creative Advisor at H&M.
The H&M x Rabanne collection is scheduled to launch in selected stores and online on November 9, 2023.
